About the Deming Forum
The Deming Forum is a not for profit educational organisation which promotes the studying and application of the management philosophy developed by Dr. W.E. Deming. This approach has guided and enabled the transformation of numerous organisations and its principles are fundamental for the successful and sustainable development of all types of organisation - in industry, government and education.
The Deming Forum organises an annual conference, The Transformation Forum at which speakers from all over the world give insights into Dr Deming's thinking and explain how Deming's approach has helped them transform their own organisations.
The Deming Forum Policy
- Our speakers have an in depth knowledge of the transformation approach developed by Dr. Deming and others, and usually have significant experience of working with it.
- Organisations that present their case studies have achieved a transformation in one or more business areas using the Deming approach.
- All of our sponsors are working to radically change their organisations, in a way consistent with the Deming approach. They are at different stages of their own transformations.
The Aims of the Deming Forum are to:
- Create learning and networking opportunities for those who wish to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Deming System of Management for Industry, Government and Education.
- Be a focal point and information service for those who seek knowledge and support in applying the Deming methodology.
- By helping people understand the Deming System of Management, to advance commerce, prosperity and peace.
- Liaise with other Deming organisations worldwide.
- Act with integrity to optimise the Deming Community for the benefit of all.
The Deming Forum Background
The Deming Forum was formed in February 2000 to enable and optimise learning & application of the Deming philosophy. The Deming philosophy centres around the System of Profound Knowledge (SOPK) a radical and innovative method for realising true, sustainable transformation for organisations, teams and individuals. The Deming Forum operates as a not for profit organisation in cooperation with the W Edwards Deming Institute (WEDI).
The management team consists of representatives from industry, the public sector and WEDI who volunteer their time and energy.
The Deming Forum holds the copyright for most of the British originated publications and is building an archive of material of interest to people wishing to learn more about Dr. W. Edwards Deming and his methodology.
